I have a three month old baby.
For the first two and a half months of his life he cried whenever I put him down.
I couldn’t bear to hear him cry so I held him almost all the time.
He wouldn’t even sleep unless I was holding him.
My world has become small, tiny really, but in a wonderful way.

My tangential thought is of the world outside my tiny one.
I put the parentheses on our living room window for several weeks so every time I looked at the space they made I was reminded of the big world.
It doesn’t bother me to live in such a small way.
I find it’s actually bigger and bigger as I pay better attention to it.
